A LITTLE HISTORY...
This building is one of the oldest in the city, notably the tower (of which we benefit from the roof terrace in our apartment CONFIDENCE 28 - photo below).
In 1674 it was depicted on the Theatrum Sabaudiae with a square tower. Gabriel Pérouse indicates that the courtyard was called, in the 17th century, Place du Mollard, and that the house, known as the Mollard fortified house, preserves a vestige of the ramparts with two small twin windows from the 15th century.
The reception of spa guests in this house has been documented since the Empire.
In 1812, Cardinal Fesh rented it in full for Laetizia Bonaparte (mother of Napoleon I) and her entourage, undergoing treatment in Aix-les-Bains
